Chemical Resistance

PTFE is virtually inert to all chemicals including fuming sulfuric and nitric acids, aggressive peroxides, amines, antioxidants and methanol. The only materials known to react with PTFE are molten elemental alkali metals, ignited finely divided metal powders, Fluorine and Chmical trifluoride.
