BREXIT Statement update

BREXIT Statement update

Within our Normanton, UK facility we have a BREXIT team that was set up in July 2018 looking at all aspects and possible consequences of a no deal BREXIT. While we currently have no indication of what the outcome of any further negotiations will be, along with their associated impact if any on supply chains we have this team in place to look at what can be done in a no deal, worst case scenario.

Our preparations have included checking and updating commodity codes for use in customs controls to prevent any potential delays at border crossings.

External training with the Institute of Export has been carried out to ensure that we are aware of latest schemes and legislation concerning future trade with Europe. This external training has resulted in updated internal training in customs compliance with our Logistics employees and we have reviewed our customs procedures to further reduce the risk of anypotential delays.

KA has many years of experience supplying products direct to non-EU counties, and as such the company is fully aware of the customs documentation and procedures required to enable “trouble free” trade to continue.

As always, we are expecting the best but preparing for the worst, if there is anything else that you are aware of that we can apply or consider, please advise and we will feed back to the BREXIT team here in Normanton.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or if we can be of any further assistance.
